Dance Attire
Dance Attire is Mandatory for all classes. Students are expected to arrive at the studio dressed for class.
If you need to bring a change of clothes, please arrive early so that your changing does not delay our class.
NO oversized cover-ups or jeans.
NO jewelry is to be worn. (We will not be responsible for lost jewelry.) Appropriate dance shoes must be worn at all times.
Hair must be off the face in a secure bun or pony tail.
Make sure you have bobby pins or a headband to pull back the bangs!
No gum chewing or cell phones are allowed in class.
Attire requirements by class:
Ballet- A plain black r.d.a leotard and footed (you may wear footless if your Lyrical class is immediately after your Ballet class) pink tights. Pink split-sole ballet slippers are to be worn unless otherwise noted. If beginning pointe’, proper toe-pads and ribbons are to be secured. r.d.a. dance shorts may be worn.
Pointe- Same attire as above with Pointe’ shoes only.
Lyrical- A plain colored r.d.a. leotard with lyrical undees and tan or black footless tights.
r.d.a. dance shorts (knit or cotton) may be worn.
Jazz- A plain colored r.d.a. leotard and tan or black footed or convertible tights. r.d.a. jazz pants may be worn as well as r.d.a. dance shorts.
No t-shirts or baggy tank tops. Tan jazz shoes are to be worn unless otherwise noted.
Tap- Same attire as above with flat black tap shoes.
Rugrats and KinderKats- Any colored leotard with skirt.
Tights must be worn! Pink ballet shoes are to be worn. (Black tap shoes if called for.)
All students must wear leotards, shorts or pants with the RDA logo on it. If you would like the logo placed on a leotard you already own, please bring in $8.00 to cover that service fee.
All shoes are to be purchased through the studio. If you buy them at a dance store they will not be uniformed.
The brand we use ensures that all students have the exact same shoe.
Pointe Shoes and Foor Undees may be purchased at Encore or Coppelia.
